TradeVow — Privacy Policy

TradeVow ("TradeVow," "we," "us," or "our") provides a trading-discipline tracking app that lets you define your own trading rules, check in once per trading day on whether you followed them, record your daily profit and loss and notes, and build a streak. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, how and why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have — including how to withdraw consent and delete your data.
This policy applies to the TradeVow mobile app and the associated website at
https://tradevow.app. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
1. Who is responsible for your data
TradeVow is the controller of the personal data described below.

If you have any question about this policy or wish to exercise a privacy right, contact us at the address above and we will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
2. What data we collect, how we collect it, and how we use it
We collect data needed to operate, secure, and improve the core features of the app. We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2.1 Account data

2.2 Discipline and trading-journal data you create
This is the content you enter to use the app. All of it is tied to your account and is private to you:
- Groups and accounts you create (names/labels only).
- Rules you define for each group.
- Daily check-ins — whether you followed your rules on a given day and which specific rules, if any, were broken.
- Profit and loss (P&L) amounts and journal notes you optionally record for a group on a given day.
- Streaks, best streaks, and badges derived from your check-ins.
We use this data solely to provide the app's features to you — displaying your rules and streaks, computing your discipline history, and letting you review and export your own records.
2.3 Subscription and purchase data
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements; RevenueCat receives your TradeVow account identifier and subscription/receipt information from Apple so that your subscription is recognized across your devices. We use this data only to determine whether your subscription is active and to provide the features you paid for.
2.4 Usage and device data
To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we collect limited usage and technical data that is stored in our own Supabase backend. This includes:
- Feature and screen usage — which screens you view and which features you use.
- Onboarding funnel events — which onboarding steps you reach and complete, so we can see where users get stuck and improve the flow.
- Basic technical data — app version, operating system version, device model, and general diagnostic information.
This is first-party analytics: it is collected by us and kept in our own systems. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, we do not use this data for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Because the app does not track you in this way, it does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework.
2.5 Notifications
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not collect or store push-notification tokens, and reminders are not sent from our servers.
2.6 We do not collect
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA) and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- No contacts, photos, precise location, health data, or microphone/camera data.
- No third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no behavioral ad profiling.
3. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process your data on these bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the app and its features to you (account, check-ins, streaks, subscriptions).
- Consent — for optional features such as device notifications; you may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 7).
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and maintain and improve the app, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.
4. How we share data, and with whom
We share data only with the service providers below, each of which acts on our behalf to run the app. We require each of these third parties, by contract, to protect your data to a standard at least equal to the protections described in this policy and required by applicable law, and to use it only to provide services to us. We do not authorize them to sell your data or use it for their own advertising.

Google API Services User Data Policy. TradeVow's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We may also disclose data if required by law, to comply with a valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of TradeVow or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy).
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
5. How long we keep your data (retention)
- We keep your account data and the discipline/journal data you create for as long as your account remains active, so the app can show your history and streaks.
- When you delete your account (see Section 6), all of your data is permanently deleted from our database. Deleting your account removes your authentication record and, by automatic cascade, every group, account, rule, check-in, broken-rule record, P&L entry, journal note, and profile row associated with you.
- Backups and logs held by our service providers may persist for a limited period before being overwritten in the ordinary course, after which they are permanently removed.
- Subscription and transaction records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained by them according to their own policies and applicable financial-record laws.
6. Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app at any time:
Settings → Delete account
This action is irreversible. It immediately and permanently deletes your account and all data described in Section 2 from our systems. If you are unable to use the in-app option, contact us at tradevowtrading@gmail.com and we will delete your account on your behalf after verifying your identity.
Deleting your account does not, by itself, cancel an active App Store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device.
7. Your choices and how to withdraw consent
- Notifications: Turn daily reminders on or off inside the app, or disable notifications for TradeVow entirely in your device's system settings at any time.
- Google Sign-In: You can revoke TradeVow's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account security settings. This does not delete data already stored in your TradeVow account.
- Access, correction, and export: You can view and edit your data directly in the app, and export your records from within the app.
- Withdraw consent / object / restrict: You may withdraw any consent, or ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
Paid features are not conditioned on granting access to optional data such as notifications.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data ("right to erasure");
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact tradevowtrading@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level access controls that restrict each user's data to that user's authenticated account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep these measures up to date.
10. Children's privacy
TradeVow is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of TradeVow after an update means you accept the revised policy.
